Political Theology: The Theological Origins of Liberalism, which will be evaluated, is a study that contributes to the literature of theology, philosophy and political science. In literature, liberalism and capitalism in relation to liberalism is explained by Max Weber and Karl Marx's arguments. Adopting a Weberian attitude of liberalism Kurun, with this work, is trying to reveal that liberalism originated from theology. However, Kurun treats liberalism as a doctrine born only in Christianity. In this respect, Kurun explains liberalism according to transformation in Christianity between 1500 and 1750. It is noteworthy that Kurun discusses concepts such as constitutionalism, social convention, federalism, modern democracy, which seem to be independent of each other and are often treated with secular theories from a religious perspective.en_US
