dc.description.abstractThe sampling of the Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) which is located in the heart of the spirituality and religiousness of Islam is based on his sunnah and hadiths. Therefore from "Dar al-Arqam" to "Dar al-Hadith", from madrasah to Theology Faculties "Hadith Studies" have been the centre of the education of Basic Islamic Sciences. In this context, this study aims to open a debate on the quality of Hadith education at the Theology Faculties of modern Turkey. In this respect, firstly the history of Hadith courses at the Theology Faculties of Turkey is addressed then on the pros and cons of today's "Hadith" education is focused by considering the attitudes of students of the Ondokuz Mayis University Theology Faculty. Consequently suggestions were made for the future of Hadith education at the Theology Faculties of Turkey in light of the data obtained.en_US
