We consider that "reverse of marriage" which experience in the life of the groom, whom come to European countries in which the bride live from Turkey by marriage, is important. In order to conceptualizing these phenomena, we have scrutized "groom-taking tradition" which we have discovered in "Manav" societies located in Sakarya region by using the means of psychology and folklore. This field study facilitates us to grasp the change of personality and identity progression which are constructed in a reciprocally determined by society and culture by this marriage. What differentiate this kind of marriage from a well-known from of marriage in which son-in-law lives in bride's house is this kind of marriage requires a ceremony. In this ceremony, the rite is reversed, everything takes places in bride's house and all expenses are offered by bride's family. This special sort of marriage aims "continuation of line" and "continuity of family" and objectifies the groom. In this marriage genre, the children are considered to belong to the bride's family. The groom functions new labor to the bride's family. The fact that the groom never get any-thing from the heritage stretchers that the groom functions as a mediator between the generations in bride's family. The groom feel the unbearable psychological pain in the marriage which is usually experienced by the bride.en_US
