I thank I. C. Hedge (RBG Edinburgh) for supplying useful information and for a revision of the manuscript. Many thanks are due to the Sibbald Trust (Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh) for financial support during my visit to Edinburgh in 2004 and to the Directors and Curators of the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh (Dr. David Harris), K, GAZI, ANK and HUB for study facilities. Many thanks also to the Director of Geneva, Prof. Rudolph Spichiger, for kindly sending the Huber-Morath specimen on loan. The specimen of D. cemileae was collected during the field work for a revision of project Sempervivum funded by the Turkish Scientific and Technical Research Council (TUBITAK project no. 1747). I am very grateful to Sezer Topaloglu for the illustration and Ferhat Celep for providing the SEM photos.en_US
