In this study, synthesis of a series of 3,6-diaryl-1,2,4-triazolo[3,4-b]-1,3,4-thiadiazines by the condensation of appropriate 5-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-2-(aroylmethyl)thio-1,3,4-oxadiazoles and hydrazine hydrate in acetic acid is described. The structures of newly synthesized compounds were confirmed by IR, H-1-NMR and elemental analysis. All the compounds were evaluated for anti-inflammatory activity by determining their ability to provide protection against carrageenan-induced edema in rat paw. In addition, ulcerogenic activities of the compounds were determined. The anti-inflammatory data scoring showed that most of the compounds exhibited anti-inflamatory activity profile at 100 mg/kg.en_US
