| dc.description.abstract | The structure of the centrosymmetric title compound, C12H10OCl2N4, is stabilized by C-Cl center dot center dot center dot pi and pi-pi interactions. The C-Cl center dot center dot center dot pi interactions result in a zigzag chain. The Cl center dot center dot center dot pi chains are connected by pi-pi interactions and generate Cl center dot center dot center dot pi and pi-pi interacting rings. The pi-pi interaction occurs between the pyridyl rings of the molecules lying about inversion centres; the centroid-centroid distance is 3.7130 (14) angstrom and the plane-plane separation is 3.563 angstrom. | en_US |
