Tyroid and paratyroid surgery is generally performed under general anaesthesia. General anaesthesia might be dangerous for some patients and locoregional anaesthesia technique has to be considered. We performed bilateral Superficial Cervical Plexus Blockade (SCPB) with bupivaccaine for paratyroid surgery to two patients with systemic problems. This blockade was well tolerated by the patients. Only hoarseness in the first case and tachycardy in the second were developed as complications. In conclusion, SCPB supported sedation and local anaesthetics for paratyroid surgery would be safe alternative to general anesthesia.en_US
