dc.description.abstract | Systemic amyloidosis is not a single disease but results from a variety different diseases. Involvement of the gastrointestinal tract is commonly reported in systemic amyloidosis. Autopsy studies show amyloid deposition in the gastrointestinal tract and liver, %70 to %100. It may cause abdominal pain, vomiting, anorexia, diarrhea, constipation and gastrointestinal bleeding. Systemic amyloidosis affects every part of the gastrointestinal tract from the mouth to the anus. | en_US |
