dc.description.abstractMedian sternotomy has been the standard approach for open heart operation. The incision starts from the substernal notch and runs downward. Scar tissue is visible at the lower neck, because of this, especially young women feel themselves unhappy. We described a new 'Y' shaped skin incision. It is a simple and a cosmetically acceptable method for the median sternotomy.en_US
