Amisos’tan bir grup maltız tutacı üzerine gözlemler

Abstract

Literatürde portatif mangal veya ocak olarak da tanımlanan maltızlar kullanıldığı yere ve döneme bağlı olarak farklı şekil ve boyutlarda karşımıza çıkarlar. Pişmiş toprak veya farklı materyalden yapılabilen maltızların, günlük kullanımının yanı sıra kült amaçlı olarak da kullanıldığı bilinmektedir. Form olarak, günlük kullanılan örneklerle büyük ölçüde benzer bir yapıya sahip olan bu maltızların, tutaç veya kulp olarak tanımlanan yükseltilmiş desteklerinin çoğunlukla iç ve bazen de dış yüzünde, kabartma olarak yapılmış figürlere yer verilmiştir. Çalışma konusunu söz konusu bu maltız tutaçları oluşturmaktadır. Samsun Müzesi envanterinde bulunan maltız tutaçları satın alma yoluyla müzeye kazandırılmış olmakla birlikte Amisos antik kentinin sınırları içinde bulunduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Çalışmaya konu olan maltız tutaçlarının üretildikleri yeri tespit etmek ve bir kronoloji oluşturmak oldukça güç olmakla birlikte, benzer örneklerle karşılaştırma yoluna gidilerek tarihlendirilmeye çalışılmış ve elde edilen sonuçlarla mevcut literatüre katkı sağlanması hedeflenmiştir.

Braziers, which are also defined as portable cooking stove in the literature, appear in different shapes and sizes depending on the place and period of use. It is known that braziers, which can be made of terracotta or different materials, are used for cult purposes as well as for daily use. As a form, these braziers, which have a substantially similar structure with the examples used in daily use, mostly include figures made in relief on the inner and sometimes outer surfaces of the raised supports, which are defined as handles or handles. The subject of study is these braziers handles. Although the braziers handles in the inventory of Samsun Museum were brought to the museum through purchase, it is understood that they are located in the ancient city of Amisos. Although it is very difficult to determine the place where the blaziers handles were produced and to create a chronology, it was tried to be dated by comparing them with similar examples and it was aimed to contribute to the existing literature with the results obtained.
