We report a case in which a normal right common iliac artery in a normal anatomical relationship to the right ureter at the crossing point caused partial urinary tract obstruction apparently by an over pressure effect. The ureter was attached to the promontorium periosteum following ureterolysis to relieve the obstruction. To our knowledge, such a condition has not been reported previously. We believe that over pressure of the common iliac artery should be considered in the differential diagnosis of extrinsic ureteral obstruction, particularly in muscular subjects.en_US
