Liselerde görev yapan öğretmenlerin uzaktan eğitime yönelik tutumlarının incelenmesi

Abstract

Teknolojinin, bilgiye daha hızlı ve kolay erişebilme getirisi sayesinde insanlar artık sürekli değişen ve kendini güncelleyen bilgi karşısında devamlı olarak bilgilerini güncelleyebilmekte ve var olan bilgilerini yenileriyle değiştirerek, geliştirebilmektedirler. Teknolojide ve bilgiye erişimde yaşanan bu baş döndürücü gelişim eğitimcileri de öğrenme-öğretim süreçlerinde yeni arayışlara itmiş ve teknoloji giderek eğitim süreçlerimizin içine dahil olmaya başlamıştır. Kuşkusuz ki geliştirilen modeller arasında uzaktan eğitim modeli eğitim-öğretim süreçlerimiz içerisinde en çok tercih edilenidir. Bu nedenle araştırmada liselerde görev yapan öğretmenlerin uzaktan eğitime yönelik tutumlarını belirlemek amaçlanmıştır. Ayrıca araştırmada, öğretmenlerin uzaktan eğitime yönelik tutumlarının cinsiyet, yaş, kıdem, çalıştıkları kurum, eğitim düzeyleri, branş vb. değişkenler bakımından anlamlı bir farklılık gösterip göstermediği de incelenmiştir. Araştırmada, yöntem olarak betimsel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada veriler Ağır (2007) tarafından geliştirilen "Uzaktan Eğitim Tutum Ölçeği" ile elde edilmiştir. Araştırma, örneklemini Samsun ilinde Millî Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı liselerde görev yapan, farklı branşlardaki 404 öğretmen oluşturmuştur. Verilerin analizinde frekans, yüzde, ortalama değerler, t-testi ve ANOVA kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda öğretmenlerin uzaktan eğitime yönelik tutumlarının ortalamanın üzerinde olumlu bir tutuma sahip olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Cinsiyet, kıdem ve branş değişkeni açısından anlamlı farklılıklar ortaya çıkmıştır.

Thanks to techonology's ability to access information more quickly and more easily, people now continuously update their knowledge in the face of ever-changing and self-updating information and improve their existing knowledge by changing them with ones. This dizzying developments in technology and access the information has also pushed educators to new pursuits in learning-teaching process, and technology has gradually started to included in our educational process. Undoubtedly, among the developed models, the distance education model is the most preferred among our education processes. Fort his reason, it was aimed to determine attidudes of high school teachers towards distance education. In the addition in the study, teacher's attitudes towards distance education were determined by gender, age, seniority, instution they work in, educational level, branch ets. It was also examined whether it showed a significant differens in terms of variables. In the research, descriptive survey model was used as a method. The data in study were obtained using the "Distance Education Attitude Scale" developed by Ağır (2007). The sample of the study consisted of 404 teachers from different branches who work in high schools affilieted to the Ministry of National Education in Samsun. Frequency percantage, mean values, t-test and Anova were used to analyze the data. As a result research, it was determined that teacher's attitudes towards distance education have a positive attitude above avarage. Significant differences emerged in terms of gender, seniority and branç variables.
