Türkiye'deki diş hekimleri, endodontistler ve diğer uzmanların nikel titanyum döner eğe sistemlerini kullanımı üzerine anket çalışması

Abstract

Amaç: Türkiye’de mesleğin farklı dallarına yönelmiş diş hekimlerinin döner nikeltitanyum eğe sistemlerini kullanımı hakkında bilgi edinerek, geleceğe yönelik perspektif oluşturabilmek.

Materyal ve Metot: Türkiye’deki diş hekimlerine 30 sorudan oluşan online anket yapılmıştır. Anket iki bölümden oluşmaktadır; ilk bölümde cinsiyet, kaç yıllık tecrübeye sahip olunduğu ve çalıştıkları kurum gibi kişisel veriler vardır. İkinci bölüm ise, diş hekimlerinin nikel titanyum döner eğe kullanımlarıyla ilgili hazırlanan soruları içermektedir.

Bulgular: Anket Türk Diş Hekimleri Birliği’ne (TDB) kayıtlı diş hekimlerine e-posta yolu ile ulaştırılmıştır. Hekimlerin ankete cevap verme oranı %4 olarak bulunmuştur. Protaper Next, uzmanlık durumu fark etmeksizin en çok kullanılan eğedir. En çok tercih edilen eğe ise diş hekimlerinde yine ProTaper Next olurken endodontistler de WaveOne Gold olmuştur. Katılımcıların büyük kısmı aynı eğeyi 6-10 kez kullandıklarını belirtmiştir. Diş hekimleri ve uzman diş hekimleri en sık alet kırılmasını üst molar dişlerin meziobukkal kanalında yaşadığını belirtirken endodontsitlerin bu soruya yanıtı üst molar dişlerin 2. meziobukkal kanalı olmuştur. Eğeleri kırılıncaya kadar kullandıklarını belirten endodontistlerin oranı %12.3, diş hekimlerinin oranı %25.9, uzman diş hekimlerinin oranı ise %15’tir. Endodontistler alet kırılmasının temel nedeninin aşırı kullanım olduğunu düşünürken diş hekimleri ve uzman diş hekimleri eğeye fazla basınç uygulanması olduğunu düşünmektedir.

Sonuç: Katılımcı grupların büyük çoğunluğu mevcut durumdan memnun değildir. Çözüm olarak kurum ya da hasta tarafından alınarak her hastada yeni nikel titanyum alet kullanılması önerilmiştir

Purpose: To create a perspective for the future by obtaining information about the usage of rotary nickel-titanium file systems by dentists who are oriented to different branches of the profession in Turkey.

Materials and methods: An online survey consisting of 30 questions was conducted to dentists in Turkey. The questionnaire consists of two parts; in the first part, there are personal data such as gender, years of experience and the institution they work for. The second part includes questions about the usage of nickel titanium rotary files by dentists.

Results: The questionnaire was sent by e-mail to the registered dentists in the database of Turkish Dental Association. The response rate was %4. Protaper Next is the most used file regardless of the specialty. The most preferred file was ProTaper Next in dentists, and Wave One Gold in endodontists. Most of the participants stated that they used the same file 6-10 times. Dentist and specialist dentists stated that the most common file fracture is in the mesiobuccal canal of the upper molars, on the other hand endodontists stated that it is the second mesiobuccal canal of the upper molars. The rate of endodontists, who stated that they used the files until they broke, was 12.3%, the rate of dentists was 25.9% and the rate of specialist dentists was 15%. While endodontists think that the main cause of instrument breakage is overuse, dentists and specialist dentists think that excessive pressure is applied to the file.

Conclusion: Majority of the participating groups are not satisfied with the current situation. As a solution, it was recommended to use a new nickel titanium instrument for each patient, taken by the institution or the patient.
