dc.description.abstractIn this article a 80 years old woman who suffered from malignant melanoma with dementia is discussed at the point of view ethically. Assisted living conditions of geriatric patients, informed consent and ethical consultation in daily life of medicine in Turkey are shortly introduced. The necessity of geriatric assisted living facilities, advantages of ethical consultation, the role of the patient's family during informed consent process and the importance of the relationship between clinicians and the patient's family are emphasized.en_US
