Samsun ilinin endüstriyel miras turizmi kapsamında incelenmesi

Abstract

Endüstriyel miras kavramı, endüstri devrimi ile birlikte teknoloji gibi birçok alanda gerçekleştirilmiş olan yeniliklere ayak uyduramayan ve yok olma tehlikesi altında bulunan endüstri varlıklarının fark edilmesine olanak sağlamaktadır. Bu bağlamda endüstriyel miras kalıntılarının korunması, yerel ekonominin geliştirilmesi ve bölgesel yeniden yapılanma için bir araç görülen, kültür turizminin alt boyutunu oluşturan endüstriyel miras kavramı önemli bir turizm ürününe dönüştürülmüştür. Turizm ile endüstriyel miras kavramlarının birbirlerine entegre edilmeleri endüstriyel geçmişin kimliğinin açığa çıkarılarak sanayi bölgelerine olan ilginin artırılmasında etkili bir rol oynamaktadır. Endüstriyel miras turizmi, üretimine devam eden ya da işlevini kaybeden endüstri varlıklarına gerçekleştirilen ziyaretleri kapsamaktadır. Bu araştırmada; Samsun ili genelinde endüstriyel miras turizmi kapsamında değerlendirilebilecek yapıların tespitinin gerçekleştirilerek, bunların turizm alanında değerlendirilmesi adına öneriler sunulması amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında Samsun ili genelinde saha çalışmaları yapılarak örnekler yerinde incelenmiştir. Saha çalışmasında elde edilen veriler; gazete arşivleri, kitaplar, internet siteleri, ulusal ve uluslararası yayınlar ile birlikte desteklenerek çalışmaya aktarılmıştır. Samsun ili genelinde endüstriyel miras turizmi potansiyelinin belirlemeye çalışıldığı bu araştırmada; tütün istasyonları, eski fabrikalar, değirmenler ve su kuleleri gibi değerli endüstri varlıklarının geçmiş dönemlerde gerçekleştirmiş oldukları işlevler incelenerek günümüzde hangi amaçlar ile kullanıldıkları tespit edilmiştir. Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devlet Demiryolları'na ait olan lokomotif bakım ve onarım atölyesinin Cerrahi El Aletleri ve Sağlık Müzesi, tütün fabrikasının alışveriş merkezi, Tekkeköy tren istasyonunun Kent Müzesi, şimendiferlerin kazanlarına su almak amacı ile kullandıkları su deposunun Çerkes Etnografya Müzesi, Samsun-Sivas Demiryolu İnşaat ve İşletme İdaresi ile Devlet Demiryolu Lojmanı'nın Samsun Kent Müzesi olarak yeni projeler kapsamında geçmiş dönemlerde kullanıldıkları işlevlerinden farklı olarak yeni kimlikler kazandırıldıkları birden fazla örnek sonuç bölümünde açıklanmıştır.

The concept of industrial heritage allows industrial assets which cannot keep up with innovations in many areas such as technology with the industrial revolution and are in danger of extinction, to be recognised. In this context, the concept of industrial heritage, which is seen as a tool for the protection of industrial heritage remains, development of the local economy and regional restructuring, and which constitutes the sub-dimension of cultural tourism, has been transformed into an important tourism product. The integration of tourism and industrial heritage concepts plays an effective role in increasing the interest in industrial zones by revealing the identity of the industrial past. Industrial heritage tourism includes visits to industrial assets that continue to produce or lose their function. In this study; ıt is aimed to determine the structures that can be evaluated within the scope of industrial heritage tourism throughout the province of Samsun and to offer suggestions for their evaluation in the field of tourism. Within the scope of the study, field studies were carried out throughout the province of Samsun and the samples were examined on-site. The data obtained in the fieldwork were supported by newspaper archives, books, websites, national and international publications and transferred to the study. In this research, in which the industrial heritage tourism potential is tried to be determined throughout the province of Samsun, the functions of valuable industrial assets such as tobacco stations, old factories, mills and water towers in the past have been examined and it has been determined for what purposes they are used today. Surgical hand tools and health museum of the locomotive maintenance and repair workshop belonging to the Republic of Turkey State Railways, the shopping center of the tobacco factory, the city museum of the Tekkeköy train station, the Circassian ethnography museum of the water tank used by the simendifers to take water into their boilers, the Samsun-Sivas railway construction and more than one example that the business administration and the State railway lodging gained new identities, different from the functions they were used in the past, within the scope of new projects as the Samsun city museum have been explained in the conclusion section.
