Yetenek taramasına katılan ilköğretim öğrencilerinin beden eğitimi dersine yönelik tutumlarının incelenmesi

Abstract

Beden Eğitimi Dersinin öğrencilerin okul başarısını olumlu yönde etkilediği ve motivasyonlarını arttırdığı düşünülmektedir. Bu nedenle, çalışma yetenek taramasına katılan ilköğretim 5. ve 6. Sınıf öğrencilerinin beden eğitimi dersine yönelik tutumları ile yetenek taraması aşamaları arasındaki başarı oranlarının incelenmesi amaçlanarak yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Samsun İlinde yapılmakta olan Yetenek Taramasına katılan 5. ve 6. sınıf öğrencileri arasında 645 kişi oluşturmaktadır. Öğrencilere, Beden Eğitimi Dersine Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği uygulanmıştır. Araştırma verilerin istatistiksel analizinde SPSS 21.0 programı kullanılmıştır. Verilerin normal dağılım gösterip göstermediğine Kolmogorov Smirnov testi ile bakılmıştır. Verilerin normal dağılım göstermediği tespit edilmiştir. Buna bağlı olarak verilerin analizinde iki grup karşılaştırmalarında Mann-whitney U testi kullanılmıştır. Değişkenler arasındaki ilişkide ise pearson korelasyon testi kullanılmıştır. Anlamlılık düzeyi olarak 0,05 kabul edilmiştir.Yetenek seçimine katılıp ikinci aşamaya geçenler ile geçemeyen ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin beden eğitimi dersine yönelik tutum puanlarının karşılaştırıldığında gruplar arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir (p<0,001). Yetenek taramasına katılan ilköğretim 5. ve 6. sınıf öğrencilerinin 1. ve 2. aşama yönelik tutum incelemesi sonucunda, ikinci aşamaya geçemeyen ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin beden eğitimi dersine yönelik tutum puanlarının daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Ölçekten alınan yüksek puan beden eğitimi dersine yönelik olumsuz tutumu ifade ettiğinden yetenek taramasında ikinci aşamaya geçemeyen ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin beden eğitimi dersine yönelik tutumlarının daha olumsuz olduğu söylenebilir

It is thought that the physical education lesson positively affects the school success of the students and increases their motivation. For this reason, the study was conducted with the aim of examining the success rates between the attitudes of the 5th and 6th grade primary school students participating in talent screening towards physical education lesson and the stages of talent screening. The sample of the research consists of 645 students among the 5th and 6th grade students who participated in the talent screening in Samsun. Attitude scale towards physical education lesson was applied to the students. Research SPSS 21.0 program was used in the statistical analysis of the data. The kolmogorov smirnov test was used to determine whether the data showed normal distribution or not. It was determined that the data did not show a normal distribution. Accordingly, the Mann-Whitney U test was used in the analysis of the data in comparison of the two groups. Pearson correlation test was used in the relationship between the variables. The significance level was accepted as 0.05. A statistically significant difference was found between the groups when the attitude scores of the secondary school students who participated in the talent selection and passed the second stage and those who could not pass towards the physical education lesson were compared (p<0.001). As a result of the attitudes towards 1st and 2nd stages of primary school 5th and 6th grade students who participated in the talent screening, it was determined that secondary school students who could not pass to the second stage had higher attitude scores towards physical education lesson. Since the high score obtained from the scale indicates a negative attitude towards the physical education lesson, it can be said that the attitudes of the secondary school students, who could not pass the second stage in the talent screening, towards the physical education lesson are more negative.
