The purpose of the study is to reveal parents' views on the new elementary mathematics curriculum. For this aim, three parents, whose children are 8th grade students in an elementary school, were interviewed at the end of semester. The data collected from interviews were qualitatively analyzed. The results showed that parents: (a) are in favour of the new mathematics curriculum, (b) think that performance-based tasks and homework projects are useful but they are not used in a manner described by the new program, © think that the new SBS system has some advantages for students but at the same time that puts additional cost on family-budget and negatively affects student daily-life, and (d) lack sufficient knowledge about the new mathematics program. Suggestions are made in light of the results at the end.en_US
