Sınıf Dışı Eğitimin Mekânsal Sorunların Tespitine ve Çözu?mlerine Katkısının İncelenmesi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada sınıf dışı eğitim etkinliklerine katılan bir grupla, varış noktasına ilişkin mekânsal sorunları tespit etmek ve bu sorunlara çözum önerileri getirebilmek hedeflenmiştir. Böylelikle sınıf dışı eğitimin, sorunların yerinde tespiti ve bu sorunlara çözum önerisi geliştirilmesi uzerinde etkili olup olmadığı belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden eylem araştırması desenine uygun olarak gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada Ondokuzmayıs Üniversitesi, Fen Edebiyat Fakultesi, Coğrafya Bölumu son sınıf öğrencilerinden oluşan 27 kişilik bir grupla Samsun ili Vezirköpru ilçesinde yer alan Şahinkaya Kanyonu’na gezi duzenlenmiştir. Gezi tamamlandıktan sonra öğrencilere Şahinkaya Kanyonu destinasyonuna (varış yeri) ilişkin mevcut sorunları ve bu sorunların çözumune ilişkin yapılması gerekenleri ortaya koyabilmelerine yönelik birer form dağıtılmıştır. Öğrencilerin yazılı cevapları dokuman analizine tabi tutularak elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz ve içerik analizi tekniği ile değerlendirilmiştir. Butun analizler sonuçlandırıldığında sınıf dışı eğitim etkinliğinin mekânsal sorunların yerinde tespiti ve bu sorunlara çözum önerisi geliştirilmesinde etkili olduğu saptanmıştır. Bu nedenle mufredatta sınıf dışı eğitim etkinliklerinin yapılmasına imkân tanıyacak nitelikte etkinliklerin yer alması, okullarda sınıf dışı eğitim etkinliklerinin yapılmasına kolaylık sağlayacak nitelikte çalışmalara yer verilmesi, eğitimcilere sınıf dışı eğitim etkinliklerinin planlanmasından değerlendirilmesine kadar tum sureç hakkında eğitimler verilmesi ve öğrencilerin de bu tur etkinliklere katılmak konusunda teşvik edilmeleri oldukça önemlidir.

The aim of this study is to find out spatial problems about destination with a group that participated in outdoor educational activities and to bring solution offers to these problems. Thus, it was tried in the study to determine whether outdoor education has an impact on the determination of the problems in situ and on the development of a solution to these problems. In this study, which was carried out in accordance with the action research pattern of qualitative research methods, a trip was organized to Şahinkaya Canyon in Vezirköpru town of Samsun province with a group of 27 consisting of students in their last year at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Geography. After the trip was completed, the students were given a form to present the current problems related to Şahinkaya Canyon destination and to explain what needs to be done in order to solve these problems. The data of the students were subjected to document analysis and the data were evaluated with descriptive analysis and content analysis technique. When all analyses were evaluated, it was determined that outdoor educational activity was effective in determining spatial problems in situ and developing solutions to these problems. For this reason, it is very important for the curriculum to include activities that can allow for outdoor educational activities, to include studies that can enable outdoor educational activities in schools, to provide education to educators about the whole process from planning to evaluation of outdoor educational activities and to encourage students to participate in such activities.
