Dede Korkut Kitabında Saygı

Abstract

Türk kültürünün önemli eserlerinden biri olan Dede Korkut kitabı, halk bilimi açısından zengin bir malzemeye sahiptir. Yurt içi ve dışında hakkında birçok çalışma yapılan ve her okunduğunda farklı güzellikleri keşfedilen bu eser, Türk toplumunun bir aynası konumundadır. Eserde toplum yapısına ait çeşitli ögelerin araştırılması, Türk toplumunda kültürel değişme ve devamlılığın izlenmesi açısından büyük yararlılıklar sağlayacaktır. Toplumsal yaşamın önemli değerlerinden olan ve toplumun her kesiminde önem verilen saygı kavramı bu çalışmanın hareket noktasını oluşturur. Bireyler arası sağlıklı iletişimin temelini oluşturan bu kavram, öncelikle toplumun temel taşı kabul edilen aile kurumunun sağlamlığı ve devamlılığının vazgeçilmez şartlarından biridir. Yaşanılan olumsuzlukların bertaraf edilmesi, özelde bireyin, genelde toplumun mutluluğu büyük oranda saygı duygusuna bağlıdır. Dede Korkut kitabında saygının büyük oranda çocuklar ve ebeveynleri ile eşler arasında belirginleştiği görülür. Bunun yanında büyüklere ve Tanrının yeryüzündeki temsilcileri sayılan yöneticilere de büyük saygı duyulduğu tespit edilmiştir. Anlatılarda saygının konuşulan dile yansıdığı, bunun yanında kahramanların eylemsel saygıyı ifade eden davranışlar sergilediği de görülür. Bedensel saygıyı gerektirecek olaylar yaşandığı halde olayların ve kahramanların tasvirinde bu ayrıntıya değinilmemiştir. Türk toplumunun vazgeçilmez bir değeri olan saygı kavramı, toplumun kültürel mirasının bir parçası olarak bu hikâyeler vasıtası ile geleceğe taşınmıştır. Saygı duygusu muhafaza edildiği müddetçe Türk ailesi ve milletinin gelecek kaygısı taşımayacağı aşikârdır

The Book of Dede Korkut, one of the most important works in the Turkish culture, has rich material in terms of folklore. The book, which has been studied many times inside and outside Turkey and whose various beauties are discovered every time it is read, is a kind of reflection of Turkish society. Studying various elements of the social structure in the book is beneficial in terms of monitoring the cultural change and continuity in Turkish society. The concept of “respect”, which is one of the important values of the social life and which is considered important in every part of society, is the starting point of this study. This concept, which forms a basis for healthy communication among individuals, is essential for the strength and continuity of the family which is regarded as the foundation stone of society. The elimination of negativity and the happiness of the individuals in particular and the society in general depend to a large extent on respect. In the Book of Dede Korkut, respect is generally seen between parents and children, and spouses. In addition, it is found that there is great respect for elders, and rulers, who are regarded as the representatives of God on earth. In the narratives, it is also seen that respect is reflected in spoken language and that the characters display behaviours that express physical respect. Although there are some events that require physical respect, this detail has not been mentioned in the description of the events and characters. The concept of respect, which is an indispensable value for the Turkish society, has been brought to the future through these stories as an important part of the cultural heritage of the society. As long as the feeling of respect is maintained, it is clear that the Turkish family and nation will not have any concerns for the future
