Abstract

In this article, we have tried to examine the concept of violence among school students. The choice of this topic was not random because everyone can be exposed to violence, especially women, at any time, whether verbal or psychological, social or sexual. They all suffer from this unacceptable behavior. That's why, by considering the fact of not being able to deal with such important events adequately, we deemed it appropriate to limit our work to issues of exclusion and violence among school students which is the main theme of the novel herein. In the novel entitled.Hangman" written by Julia Jarman, we dealt with the theme of violence by revealing the experiences of Danny, the protagonist of the novel, who has been subjected to all forms of violence both inside and outside the classroom. It is a child who has been indifferent to the insults and mockery of his classmates throughout the story, and who cannot defend himself orally or physically in any way. In this story, where exclusion, beating, and isolation have reached an uncontrollable level, the five students in the classroom are violent enough to lead Danny to death. No one, neither his family nor his teachers, could understand what he felt and suffered from. Danny's story has allowed us to understand violence and its terrible causes on one hand, and on the other hand, to draw attention to educational institutions as well as their sensitivities in their families. Violence in the school environment is a universal phenomenon so much so that the consequences not only harm children but also harm the whole society. That is why being sensitive to this danger and taking it into consideration is a must. In order to conduct this qualitative research, we have used the document analysis method.
