Asymptotic iteration and variational methods for Gaussian potential

Abstract

In this paper we studied the approximate solutions of radial Schrodinger equation with the attractive Gaussian potential. We used asymptotic iteration method and variational method to obtain energy eigenvalues for any n and l quantum numbers. Our results are in good agreement with the other studies.
