Abstract

In the title compound, C17H10Cl2N2O3S, the thiophene ring and the central benzene ring are almost coplanar [dihedral angle = 8.44 (3)degrees], while the dihedral angle between the two benzene rings rings is 77.49 (9)degrees. The crystal packing is stabilized by intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds.
