Brain stem lesion mimicking myasthenia gravis

Abstract

Brain stem masses may mimic Myasthenia gravis (MG), clinically and electrophysiologically. We present a 38 years-old female patient with a brain stem mass, who has clinical features similar with MG, and revealed a decremental response to repetitive nerve stimulation. Brain stem mass was removed by surgery. In the postoperative period, her complaints were regressed. Control repetitive nerve stimulation examination was normal. (c) 2004 Published by Elsevier B.V.
