A rain prayers ritual as performed in the region of Samsun and an evaluation of this ritual according to Turkish cultural-historical context

Abstract

As it is seen all around the Turkey, the rain pray ritual is practiced around Samsun region. Although the rain pray ritual is held within Islamic frame today, its roots goes back to pre-Islamic Turkish culture.
