ortamından ayrılarak okul öncesi eğitime geçiş sürecidir. Okul öncesi eğitime geçiş;
Yapılan analizler sonucunda okul öncesi eğitime geçişte öğretmenlerin;
belirlenmiştir There are many steps in the education continuum, and children move from one level
to the next each time. One of these steps is the child's transition from the home
environment to preschool education. Transition to preschool education is a complex
and dynamic process in which factors such as child, family, school, peers, and
society are interconnected. In this transition, the expectations of the community,
school, teachers, parents, and children vary. This research was aimed to determine
the expectations of teachers, parents, and children in the transition to preschool
education and to determine whether these expectations are done. The research was
carried out in the multiple case study pattern, which is one of the qualitative research
methods. Criterion sampling was used in the selection of the study group. Seventeen
preschool teachers, 17 parents, and 17 children were included in the study.
Demographic information form and semi-structured interview form were used as
data collection tools. Two interviews were held with teachers, parents, and children
in the 2021-2022 academic year, 1st and 2nd semesters. Research data were collected
through telephone interviews with teachers and parents, and face-to-face interviews
with children. The transcribed data were analyzed by content analysis. As a result of
the research, it was identified that teachers have developmental (motor, cognitive,
social-emotional, language development, and self-care skills) and individual
(towards the profession and towards the teacher-parent relationship) expectations
from parents in the transition to preschool education. It has been also determined that
parents have the same developmental expectations and individual (child-oriented and
parent-teacher relationship) expectations from preschool teachers too.
On the other hand, the children who transitioned to preschool education have
different emotions such as excitement, happiness sad, and missing in the first
interview and it has been determined that they have expectations such as playing
games, lessons, painting, doing activities, having fun, going out to the garden. As a
result of the research, it was detected that the expectations of the majority of teachers
and parents were met. And on the other hand, as a result of the second interview, it
was determined that all of the children felt emotionally good and beautiful, and their
expectations in the first interview were done.
