Doğum öncesi testis torsiyonlu bir yenidoğan

Abstract

Yenidoğanda testis torsiyonu, özellikle de doğum öncesi olanlar çok nadirdir ve çocukluk çağı testis torsiyonlarının %10-12sini oluştu- rur. Testis torsiyonunda fizik incelemede sert ve ağrısız testis dokusu ele gelir. Tanıda Doppler ultrasonografi duyarlı bir yöntemdir. Yeni- doğan torsiyon olgularında uygun cerrahi eksplorasyonla bile testis ancak %0-5 olguda kurtarılabilir. Burada doğum öncesi testis torsi- yonu olup yaşamın ilk gününde orşiektomi yapılan bir yenidoğan olgusu sunuldu. (Türk Ped Arş 2014; 49: 254-6)

Testis tortion in the newborn (especially antenatal testis tortion) is observed very rarely and constitutes 10-12% of childhood testis tor- tions. In testis tortion, firm and painless testicular tissue is palpa- ted on physical examination. Doppler ultrasonography is a sensitive method in the diagnosis. In cases of neonatal testis tortion, the testis can be saved with appropriate surgical exploration in only 0-5% of the cases. Here, a newborn with antenatal testis tortion who under- went orchiectomy in the first day of life was presented. (Türk Ped Arş 2014; 49: 254-6)
